Grief can throw your life off-course. You ask yourself why you are not able to come to terms with your loss? Why you cannot make sense of how you are feeling?
Others may expect you to be coping. Maybe on the surface you are coping but inside you know how much you are struggling. It can often feel safer to deal with our emotions and feelings on our own.
But holding onto so much grief can be exhausting and may lead us to experience further mood changes, loss of sleep, fatigue, trapped emotions, feeling numb, feeling lost and isolated.
I know from both personal experience and from the hundreds of clients I have worked with, that counselling can have such a positive impact upon someones life.
I came to counselling through my own personal therapy journey and experiencing first-hand the healing impact that it can have. I now want to share this with others.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, which means that I abide by their ethical framework for practice. You can therefore be reassured that I will abide by the highest ethical standards.
Alongside my counselling practice, I have extensive experience working in Higher Education, Health & Social care and the Charity sector. I currently volunteer in the charity sector alongside my private practice.
Counselling gives you space to tell your story away from judgement and expectation.
I will listen to you, really listen. I can provide a space that feels safe, warm and welcoming. A space where you can express your true feelings and emotions and give yourself permission to feel just how you feel - right now. You can gain greater understanding and greater insight into your self.
I will not try to 'fix' you, but instead will give you the space and time you need to express your grief in your own way. Only once we do this can we work towards acceptance and finding a new way forward in a different life.
How can Counselling help?
I have an interest in the healing properties of Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation and these practices form a part of my daily life. I also embrace creative activities and being out in nature.
